YMA is a process for further equipping adults for ministry with young people. Conducted over three modules, congregations whose mission and visioin includes youth ministry will want their adult leaders to receive this affordable training.

Messiah Lutheran Church in Emporia will serve as the host site on Saturday, March 27, for the third Youth Ministry Academy training workshop for adults serving in youth ministry. This workshop will focus on sustaining and managing God's resources :
• Administration and budgeting for youth ministry.
• Event planning (including retreats).
• Relationship management with youth and adults.
Led by professional youth ministry leaders, the three modules will engage the participants through a variety of instructional strategies: lectures, experiential learning, reflection, and small group processes. The cost is $25 for the day (this includes all instruction costs and a lunch). QUESTIONS: Contact the Kansas District Office, Educational Services (1.800.357.4421 x206). Deadline to register is March 22.
Note: Workshops can be completed on a selected basis or in its entirety (lack of participation in workshop one does not prohibit anyone from attending this workshop as workshop one will be repeated in the future). |
