Joyce Duitsman -- 713 Mound, Atchison 66002 -- Director -- Joyce has been a teacher at Trinity Lutheran School in Atchison for the last 18 years and also taught at Zion-St. John Lutheran in Paullina, Iowa. She served on several District committees in the past (and present) and has also been active in her local church organizations (PTL, LWML, Circles, etc.). She's taught Sunday School and has led youth groups iin the past. Joyce and her husband Jim have three grown children.  

Rev. Keith E. Kohlmeier -- 3337 NW Bent Tree Lane , Topeka , KS 66618 -- President -- Rev. Kohlmeier continues to serve as the Kansas District President, a position he has held since 2003.  Prior to that, he served at Ascension, Wichita ; First English, Spencer , Iowa ; and Holy Trinity, Farnhamville , IA.   He graduated from Concordia Seminary in Ft. Wayne in 1978 in the Kansas District for 16 years.  He previously served as a District Vice President, a member of the Board of Directors, and as circuit counselor. 

         
Max Eberhart -- 8609 Huntington, Wichita -- Director
Max is a member of Holy Cross, Wichita, and has served his congregation as president, member of the Church Council, and chairman of the parochial school committee. An attorney, he is employed by U.S. AgBank, FCB as its Vice-President--General Counsel and as a member of its executive committee. He has been a resident of the Kansas District his entire life. 		  Betty Kruse -- 1119 Court Place, Colby 67701 -- Director Betty is a member of Trinity, Colby and has served on the Worship Committee and Board of Education, as well as teaching Bible classes. She is also active in the LWML and serves as District Vice President of Caring Service. She is employed by Colby Community College as Registrar.
         
Walter Frederking -- 326 Hartland, Salina 67401 -- Director -- Walter is a member of Trinity congregation in Salina. He retired from newspaper work and the insurance business and is presently working with Laborers for Christ and is presdient of the local LLL group. He volunteers for Meals on Wheels, is a safe-driving instructor for AARP, and board member for Salina's Agency on Aging.   Rev. David Meier -- 901 N. Tenth St., Humboldt 66748 --- Second Vice President -- Rev. Meier presently serves at St. Peter's, Humboldt. Past parishes where he has served in Kansas are St. Matthew, Nortonville and Mt. Calvary, Marysville. He has previously the Kansas District as Secretary, Circuit Counselor and Sitrict/Synod Support Team. He graduated from St. John-Winfield, Concordia Senior College-Ft. Wayne, IN and Concordia Theological Seminary-Ft. Wayne, IN in 1978.
         
Rev. Rodney Fritz -- 2942 27th Road, Hanover 66945 -- Circuit Counselor Rep -- Pastor Fritz has served Trinity Lutheran Church, Hanover, since 1980. He graduated from Concordia Seminary, St. Louis in 1980. During his time at Trinity, he has held several circuit offices, served the LLL as District Pastoral Advisor and now on the Board of Directors. Hobbies include collecting all things John Deere.    
         
Ivan Grimm -- 12557 Farley, Overland Park 66213 -- Director -- Ivan is a member of Bethany, Overland Park. He presently serves on the Stewardship Committee and is March and September usher captain for the 11:00 service. He and his wife have enjoyed 43 years of marriage. They've been blessed with two sons (Jeff and Brian) and also two daughter-in-laws and five grandchildren who are all active in the Lutheran church. Also, Ivan presently serves the LLL as Vice Chairman of the Kansas District. He graduated from Corleton College in 1960 and retired from Mobil with 37 years of service.   Rev. Robert Schaedel -- 702 S. 9th -- Salina 67401 -- Secretary -- Rev. Schaedel serves as Senior Pastor at Trinity, Salina. Previous congregations served: St. Luke-Manhattan, Our Redeemer and Peace-Kinsley/Greensburg. He graduated from Concordia Seminary, St. Louis in 1972. Previous Service to the Kansas District: LLL Pastoral Advisor, District Vice-President.
         
Rev. Robert Grimm -- 706 Iowa St., Alma 66401 --Third Vice President -- Bob serves as the pastor of St. John, Alma. He grew up on a dairy farm in Minnesota, and attended Lutheran schools there before going to college and seminary. His entire public ministry has been in Kansas. He has a love for agriculture and God's creation, and has served our district promoting Christian growth amidst changes in rural life.   Mark Schotte -- 1425 E. 4th, Winfield 67156 -- Director
Mark currently serves as principal/teacher at Trinity Lutheran School in Winfield. He received his Bachelor's degree in Elementary Ed from St. John-Winfield in 1982 and his Mastor's Degree from Wichita State University in 1993. He has taught in Lutheran schools for 24 years. In addition to the Board of Directors, Mark has served as chair of the Kansas District Teacher's Conference and the Kansas District Principals' Conference.
         
Steve Hanschu -- 827 Mechanic, Emporia 66801 - Director -- Steve is a member of Messiah, Emporia and has served as Spiritual Life Team Leader, youth leader, and church archivist. He is a creditental deacon as a graduate of the LLTI. He is immediate past president of the Kansas District Lutheran Laymen's League and has served as a member at large of the International LLL. He serves on various district commission and committees. He also serves on various civic and non-profit organizations in the community.   Rev. Norbert Tegtmeier -- 1907 Casa Loma, Emporia 66801 -- Director -- Rev. Norbert Tegtmeier is presently serving at Messiah Lutheran, Emporia where he has served for the past 18 years. He previously served in Iowa EAst for the first nine years of his ministry. He graduated from seminary in 1979.
         
Dennis Hintz -- St. John Lutheran Church, 901 SW Fillmore St., Topeka 66606 -- Dennis has served as DCE at St. John, Topeka since 1972 and the church for over 34 years. He is a graduate of Concordia, Seward and received his Masters from Washburn University in Topeka. He has served on various District and Synodical committees and task forces.   Barbara Teske -- 22055 Onaga Rd., Onaga 66521 -- Director -- Barbara is a member of St. Paul, Duluth and has served in several positions in the congregation. She has also been involved on the district level of the Kansas LWML where she is presently serving as the Manhattan Zone President. Barbara was born in Iowa, reared in Nebraska and settled in Kansas--the daughter of a Lutheran school teacher. She is the mother of 3, grandmother of 6, stepgrandmother of two and step-great-grandmother of four. Barb has worked 33 years in the School District/Supt. office and has been an Office Manager at a funeral home for the last 6 years.
         
Revn. Randall Jahnke -- 2217 Post Ave., Dodge City 67801 -- Fourth Vice President -- Rev. Jahnke currently serves as pastor of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Dodge City. He is in the second term as 4th Vice President of the Kansas District. Prior to coming to the Kansas District in 1992, he served in Sidney, Nebraska and Circuit Counselor in the Nebraska District. He is a 1984 graduate of Concordia Seminary in St. Louis.   Rev. Ed Trost -- 11216 West 106th St., Overland Park 66214 -- First Vice President -- For the past 18 years, Pastor Ed has served as the Senior Pastor of Bethany Lutheran Church in Overland Park and Stilwell. His ministry began in Kansas (Mt. Calvary, Wamego) in 1967. He also served as the Senior Pastor at Holy Cross in Wichita. He has served the Kansas District as Vice President, Circuit Counselor, member of the Mission Board and Board of Christian Care.
         
Ken Jorns -- 36114 W. Sun City Rd., Turon 67583 -- Director -- Ken is a graduate of Kansas State University and self-employed farmer. He has served his congregation, St. Paul, Preston as congregation chairman, elder, treasurer, confirmation class teacher. His community involvement has included membership on the Reno Co. Zoning Board and the County Economic Development Committe. He also has been a soloist for weddings, funerals and religious and civic events.     Doug Wolters -- RR 2, Box 162, Atwood 67730 -- Director
Doug is a member of Redeemer, Atwood and has served as chairman, elder, trustee and several other offices. He and his wife, Pattie, have farmed since graduating from Kansas State in 1970. He has served on County Extention boards, Farm Bureau and various farm co-op positions. He currently serves on the Kansas District Board of Education.


  Mark Zillinger -- 6248 SW 25th St., Topeka 66614 -- Treasurer -- Mark is a member of Faith, Topeka where he has served as congregational president, past board member of Family Life Ministries, Board of Children's Ministry, Board of Early Childhood Center, and current board member of Board of Stewardship Ministires. He also serves on the Kansas LCEF Board of Managers and is employed in the Accounting Department at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas.
